Here we are with just over a week to go until the opening game of the season against IFK Östersund, and the last pre season game against Härnösand today. There has been some good and some bad. As much as there are no points to gain today I don’t think either team want to lose this last game before the season kicks off.
We certainly have a point to prove after only 3 days ago losing to FV in the cup, a poor
result for us but perhaps just the wake up call that we needed before the season starts. Credit to FV for the way they played, for getting themselves back in the game after going behind 4 times. Strong character shown there.
On a positive note it’s good to see us nearing a full squad now after a few injury concerns. Emil Norberg or ”kebbe” as we know him is going to be back much quicker than first thought. Nobody is more happy than me about this, why you might wonder? Simple really, when Kebbe is around I actually win headers at training.
As an Englishman i also have this summer to think about. I encourage all of you to get behind England in the World Cup, you are all used to supporting a team who only really dream of winning the World Cup, so supporting England won’t be any different! As long as we come longer than Mac Wards USA then I will be one happy little man.
I often hear how England have a good squad of players but the national team struggle to deliver. I agree. It will be interesting to see if Roy Hodgson decides to build for the future or plays the same big names who he won’t be able to use in the next World Cup.
I hope to see many of you at Olympia in the coming months and let’s hope for a great summer of football whether it be youth, local, woman’s or the World Cup.
All the best
